Virginia Hey is an Australian actress who was bought up in Australia and London. She has three brothers and one sister. While waiting at a bus stop to catch a bus for going to her art school class, she was spotted by a modeling agent. From there she went on to be a successful fashion model in Australia and Europe. In 1992, she learned Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Herbal Medicine for one year and Meditative Healing for two years in 1998-99. She also earned a certificate in Advanced Reiki in 1998. Earlier in her life, she dated Michael Hutchence as well as John Taylor. She currently lives in Florida where she besides teaching meditation, runs a decent business of aromatherapy, beauty and home products and meditation CDs.

Virginia has appeared in more than fifty seven television commercials in Australia and UK. On television she has appeared in shows like Prisoner, Neighbours, E Street, Mission: Impossible, Flipper, Home and Away, All Saints and Roar besides playing the role of Zhaan on Farscape. However, she left Farscape after three years as her role in the series required her to shave both her hair and eyebrows and she wanted to grow them again and also because she suffered serious health issues due to her blue make-up. Virginia has also acted in the films Game Room, Signal One, Mad Max 2, Castaway, Norman Loves Rose, The Return of Captain Invincible, The Living Daylights and Pathos- segreta inquietudine.

Role in Farscape

In Farscape, she plays the role of the Pa’u Zoto Zhaan who possesses the power of extrasensory perception. She is a bald and a blue-skinned female who belongs to a plant-like species. Before the start of the show, she had been the priestess of her religious order. She murdered her lover when she came to know that he was helping the Peacekeepers. She was thought to be a rebel and imprisoned along with D’Argo and Rygel.
