Wayne Pygram is an Australian actor who was born in Cootamundra but was bought up in Wagga Wagga. During his teenage he was a drummer in a dance group. Initially he studied art at the Riverina College, however, later he changed his major to primary school education. While Wayne was studying at college, he joined Riverina Trucking Company which was a theatre troupe. Besides acting, Wayne is a drummer who plays along with co-star Anthony Simcoe in the musical band Signal Room.

Wayne has been acting on Australian stage and screen for nearly last two decades. On Television he has appeared on shows like A Country Practice, Time Trax, Fire, Water Rats, The Lost World, Stingers, Snobs, Through My Eyes, Lost, All Saints and Home and Away besides playing the role of Scorpius on Farscape. In addition he has worked in movies like Warming Up, Farewell to the King, Return to the Blue Lagoon, The Custodian, Hammers Over the Anvil and StarWars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith.

Role in Farscape

In Farscape, he has played the role of Scorpius, the commander of the Peacekeepers. He is a hybrid who was created from the DNA of a human-like Sebacean and a reptilian Scarran. In the first three seasons of the series he continuously pursues Moya’s crew and especially John Crichton in order to extract the wormhole technology from John’s brain. However in the beginning of the fourth season he joins forces with Moya’s crew to fight against the dangerous Scarrans and prevent the wormhole technology from falling in their hands.
